SHORT FILM SUBMISSIONS OPEN!

River Bear Films will be hosting the third installment of the Simply Weird Film Festival on 

Wednesday, October 30th, 2024.

The Simply Weird Film Festival is calling for short films that embrace strange ideas, dive into bizarre worlds, and celebrate those who think a little outside the box.  If you have a short film that fits this bill, we want to see it! 

Submission Criteria:

• Genres: Horror, Horror-Comedy, Science Fiction, or Experimental
• Animated shorts and quirky documentary shorts in the specified genres/sub-genres are welcome
• Total Runtime (TRT) must be 15 minutes or less

AWARDS & PRIZES

The Simply Weirdest Award - Best of the Fest!

• The top short film of the festival will be honored with a one-of-a-kind, handmade trophy crafted by Atlanta artist, Manic Lawd, along with an explosive prize package from our sponsor, Exploding Kittens!

The Preposterous Peach Award - The Simply Weirdest Georgia-Made Short Film

• This award celebrates the quirkiest short film produced in Georgia. The winner will receive a unique, handcrafted trophy from Manic Lawd, plus a fantastic prize package from our local Atlanta sponsors!
